After training as a science teacher in London, I emigrated to Melbourne in 2008 and spent the next decade and a half building my career as a teacher and leader in Victoria. Teaching gave me a lot — great experiences, great people, a real sense of purpose. But I also watched the job quietly get harder: more complexity, more pressure, less community support. I saw colleagues burning out and leaving, and I kept asking the same question: why isn't anyone asking teachers what they actually need?

That frustration became VoicED. We give Australian educators a quick, daily way to share their voice, then turn those responses into real data — a mirror held up to the profession. We use that data to celebrate teacher culture, inform school leaders, and push for genuine change at state and federal level. Because teachers have always known what's wrong. They just haven't had anyone powerful enough in their corner to say it out loud.

Who We Are

We're an independent team of educators who believe that teachers deserve to be heard. Our platform connects thousands of Australian teachers daily, creating a powerful collective voice that influences educational decisions at every level.

Our Mission

VoicED exists to amplify the voices of Australian educators, creating a direct channel between the classroom and those who shape education policy and practice.

Through daily micro-surveys, we gather real-time insights from teachers across the nation, building the most comprehensive picture of school life in Australia.
